It is worth noting that the southern regions of Libya and Egypt are among the driest regions on Earth, and rainfall is rare except in certain years when tropical moisture flows into those regions due to the expansion of the tropical break.

Seasonal rains continue in southwestern Saudi Arabia

In Saudi Arabia, tropical moisture is expected to continue flowing towards the southwest of the Kingdom during the first week of September, accompanied by the continued appearance of cumulus clouds over those regions and rainfall of varying intensity in parts of the highlands of Jazan, Asir, and Al-Baha, extending as far south as the Makkah region.

A state of atmospheric instability affects the Sultanate of Oman and the southern Emirates.

Arab Weather forecasters said that numerical model outputs indicate that the Sultanate of Oman will be affected by a moderate state of atmospheric instability, due to the deepening of a low-pressure trough in the upper atmosphere. This will increase the chances of thunderstorms forming in various parts of the Sultanate, starting tomorrow, Monday, and continuing for several days, accompanied by thunderstorms of varying intensity and occasional hail.

There is also a possibility of cumulus clouds extending towards the southern regions of the UAE at certain times, especially on Tuesday, Wednesday, and the weekend, accompanied by scattered rainfall.

Heavy thunderstorms in Yemen and Sudan

In Yemen and Sudan, seasonal rains continue to affect the country starting in September. These rains are sometimes heavy and sometimes extremely heavy, making several areas of Yemen and South Sudan highly vulnerable to flooding and torrential rains.

Weather disturbance affects Algeria and Tunisia

Weather forecasts indicate an increased chance of parts of Tunisia and Algeria being affected by atmospheric instability next Tuesday, due to the approach of a cold upper trough to the region.
