Arab Weather - The latest weather analyses at the Arab Weather Center indicate that the Arab region is heading towards a period of clear weather and temperature fluctuations, in light of a great conflict in weather patterns coinciding with the transitional phase between seasons.

In detail , during this period, strong heating processes of the land surface over the African continent and the Arabian Peninsula are active, while the flow of cold air from the higher latitudes continues through the lows and upper extensions coming from the north, leading to a great variation in weather patterns. This variation contributes to pushing a cold air mass towards the western Mediterranean regions, especially the Maghreb countries, where cold weather with temperatures closer to winter is expected to prevail, especially over the high mountain ranges.

As a dynamic response to this cold air mass, hot air from deep within the African desert is rushing towards Egypt and the Levant, leading to a gradual and noticeable rise in temperatures over the coming days. Forecasts indicate that temperatures will continue to rise progressively until the end of the week, reaching 40 degrees Celsius in the capital, Cairo, while exceeding 30 degrees Celsius in both Amman and Jerusalem, and approaching 40 degrees Celsius in the Jordan Valley.

As a result of this variation in weather patterns, a state of atmospheric instability is expected to develop in large areas of the Levant and parts of the Arabian Peninsula towards the end of the week, with the formation of cumulonimbus clouds, accompanied by strong downdrafts that will stir up dust and sandstorms, along with thunderstorms that may be locally heavy.

What is happening is part of the climatic nature of spring in the region, as this period is characterized by rapid fluctuations in air masses and an acceleration in the movement of weather systems, leading to sharp temperature fluctuations over short periods of time.

The forecasts also indicate that this state of temperature variation is not temporary, but is likely to continue during the coming period, until the weather patterns stabilize and the region gradually comes under the influence of upper-level high-pressure systems, as these high-pressure systems act as a barrier that prevents the advance of cold air masses from the north, and leads to stability and a rise in temperatures in general.
