It is a type of sidr tree: the sidr is one of the rarest forest trees in the world, and is naturally widespread in the countries of the Mediterranean basin. It blooms in April and is important for wildlife and biodiversity.
On the highest hill in the town of "Zubia", Northern Mazar District - Irbid - Jordan.

At an altitude of about 940 meters above sea level, the Arabian sycamore tree stands, which is estimated to be about 1,500 years old, and reaches a height of about 25 meters. It is the only unique tree of this type in central and northern Jordan, with its roots deep in history, laden with the fragrance of the past, storing in its trunk the secrets of life, a symbol of strength and steadfastness in the face of the vicissitudes of time. Many beliefs, tales, stories and myths are woven around it.

The maple tree and Palestine

The sycamore tree was the main landmark for the returnees from the villages of Zubia and Irhaba after selling their crops in the Palestinian city of Beisan, placing it before their eyes to guide them on the way back home.
As for its geographical importance, it was a rest stop on the trade caravan route coming from Palestine via Jordan towards the Hauran Plain, Jabal al-Arab and the Syrian Desert.
The "Mays Zobia" tree has only two sisters in Jordan, located in the "Kafraz" area west of the town of Mu'tah, between the districts of Al-Mazar Al-Janubi and the district of Ai in the Karak Governorate in southern Jordan.
