Meteorologists warn pilgrims of high temperatures in Mount Arafat

The official spokesman for the National Center for Meteorology, Hussein Al-Qahtani, warned of a gradual rise in temperatures in Arafat, coinciding with a clear decrease in humidity levels, which leads to an increased feeling of heat and dryness during standing in Arafat.

Al-Qahtani explained that the expected weather conditions require pilgrims to avoid direct exposure to sunlight and to stay away from open areas as much as possible, while making sure to stay in shaded or enclosed and air-conditioned places to protect their health and safety.

He stressed the importance of fully complying with the instructions and guidelines issued by the relevant authorities, in order to avoid any potential effects of the weather conditions, and to enable pilgrims to perform their rituals in the plains of Arafat with ease and peace of mind.
