More than 400 thousand deaths in 40 European countries due to air pollution

<p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr">ArabiaWeather.com- The European Environment Agency said that air pollution caused 458,000 deaths in 40 European countries, 430,000 of which were in 28 EU member states.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> A report by the agency confirmed that heart attacks come first, claiming 80% of lives, followed by respiratory diseases and cancer.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> It is noteworthy that a report issued by the World Health Organization, conducted in 1,600 cities within 91 countries regarding urban air, stated that only 12% of urban residents in the world breathe clean air.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> These results showed that urban residents breathe air that is 2.5 times more polluted than the minimum permissible limit, which increases the risk of cardiovascular disease, stroke, lung cancer, and various respiratory diseases, including asthma.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p>
