مديرية الدفاع المدني في الرياض كشفت في حديثٍ لها نشرته صحيفة "سبق" الإلكترونية عن تعاملها مع ٤٩ مركبة محتجزة في برك مائية خلفتها الأمطار.
وقال الناطق الإعلامي للمديرية، الرائد محمد الحمادي: "هطلت أمطار تراوحت من متوسطة إلى غزيرة على شمال وشرق مدينة الرياض، وكان هناك تجمع للمياه في ٦ مواقع. ونتج من هذه الحالة المطرية منذ بدايتها حتى الساعة الـ21:30 مساء احتجاز ٤٩ مركبة داخل المياه، كانت تقل ٧٦ شخصًا، جميعهم غادروها وهم بصحة جيدة - ولله الحمد -".
ودعا الحمادي لاتباع إرشادات السلامة في مثل هذه الأحوال الجوية، والابتعاد عن مواقع تجمعات المياه ومجاري الأودية والسيول.
