موقع ArabiaWeather.com – تعرَضت مدينة تبوك السعودية خلال شهر يناير 2013 إلى موجة من الامطار الشديدة بشكل لم تعرفهُ المنطقة منذ سنواتٍ طويلة ، و هو الامر الذي أدى إلى ارتفاع منسوب المياه في المدينة بشكل كبير و تشكُل السيول على نطاقٍ واسع و حدوث خسائر في المُمتلكات.
و عند إلقاء نظرة على مجموع كميات الامطار خلال شهر يناير 2013 نجد أن الامطار قد هطلت في تبوك على فترتين ، الأولى ما بين اليومين الثامن و العاشر من الشهر بالتزامن مع تعرُض منطقة بلاد الشام إلى عاصفة شتوية و تساقُط الثلوج، و الثانية خلال الستة ايام الاخيرة من الشهر إثر تأثُر المنطقة بحالة عنيفة من عدم الاستقرار الجوي، و قد بلغ مجموع الأمطار في المدينة خلال الشهر كاملاً 64.4 ملم و هو أعلى بكثير من مُعدل الأمطار الطويل الامد في تبوك البالغ ( 4.6 ) ملم و بذلك تُعادل كمية الأمطار الهاطلة هذا الموسم 14 ضعف الكمية الشهرية الاعتيادية.
كما يُعتبر عدد الايام التي حدث بها هُطول الأمطار خلال شهر يناير 2013 مُلفتاً! حيث سجلت محطة الرصد الجوي هُطول الامطار في 8 أيام، في حين يبلُغ المُعدل الطبيعي لعدد الايام التي يحدُث بها هُطول مطري في تبوك خلال شهر يناير 5 أيام فقط .
