Arab Weather - Weather experts at the Arab Weather Regional Center said that the latest readings of what is called computer modeling indicate that large areas of the Arab world are affected by unstable weather conditions, starting from the Maghreb region and extending in the coming days to Libya, and reaching the eastern Mediterranean basin and the northern Arabian Peninsula region at the beginning of next week, to produce, God willing, thunderstorms in several areas, coinciding with an effective response to the Red Sea depression.

Details of rainy weather conditions affecting large areas of the Arab world

In detail, a scientific report was previously issued via the Arab Weather application indicating a major disturbance in the polar vortex as a result of what is called stratospheric warming, which leads to the breaking of the jet stream and the rush of many cold upper-level troughs in the upper layers of the atmosphere, especially towards the Maghreb region.

Indeed, the influx of cold upper-level troughs into the Maghreb region has begun, merging with the flow of tropical air currents from the south, leading to the development of strong weather disturbances that include the Maghreb countries and Libya with thunderstorms of varying intensity, continuing at intervals over the end of this week due to the influx of several cold upper-level troughs.

Computer modeling predicts the arrival of cold upper-level troughs in the eastern Mediterranean region at the beginning of next week.

Weather updates via the Arab Weather app indicate that these cold upper-level troughs will begin, God willing, to move eastward, towards the eastern Mediterranean basin, between December 6-8, 2025, coinciding with an effective response to the Red Sea trough and the flow of tropical moisture from the south.

And, by the will of God, this weather situation will produce a state of atmospheric instability over the countries of the eastern Mediterranean, including parts of Egypt and the Levant, in addition to the northern Arabian Peninsula, represented by Saudi Arabia and Iraq, and possibly Kuwait. This will result in the formation of thunderclouds and the rainfall of varying intensity in several areas.
