Where did the heat dome disappear in June? Will it return to Jordan in July?

Arab Weather - The effects of the heat dome were absent from the skies of Jordan and the Levant during June 2025, thank God, due to the nature of the weather systems prevailing in the Northern Hemisphere.

Upper air systems coming from Eastern Europe are shifting the upper subtropical high eastward, which has, thankfully, caused heat waves and a heat dome to move away from the Levant and Jordan during the current month of July. As such, temperatures were not far from normal, despite their rise in some periods.

Will the heat dome return to Jordan in the near future?

Meteorologists at the Arab Weather Center said that current weather patterns do not indicate a heat dome will form over the Kingdom in the near future. Forecasts indicate that temperatures will remain within or slightly above normal summer temperatures, with temperatures rising at certain times.

However, indicators point to the intensification of the high pressure system in the upper atmosphere, which is fueling the heat dome phenomenon, and its approach to the Kingdom during the middle of the month. Consequently, the heat dome will approach the Kingdom during this period, God willing.
