The Northern Borders Education Department announces the start of winter school hours.

The General Directorate of Education in the Northern Borders region announced the start of the winter school hours in all boys’ and girls’ schools in the governorates and centers, starting from next Sunday, November 2, 2025.

According to the official statement, the morning assembly will be at 7:30 AM, while the first class will begin at 7:45 AM, a delay from the previous summer schedule, in order to take into account the cold morning weather and to provide a suitable and comfortable learning environment for students.

The administration confirmed that this change aims to protect students from the peak of cold in the morning, and to give them enough time to reach their schools safely, and reflects the administration’s keenness to monitor the conditions surrounding the educational process and ensure its continuation with high quality.

The administration also confirmed the completion of all necessary preparations for winter school hours, including the maintenance of school facilities and heating systems, and the strengthening of health guidelines on wearing winter clothes and ways to prevent colds and flu.

The preparations also include organizing the entry and exit of students in a way that achieves the highest standards of safety and discipline, with a focus on adapting to climate changes to serve the student’s best interests first, and to reduce pressure on families and give them greater flexibility in preparing their children for school during the winter.
