Elon Musk announces the success of implanting the first chip in a human brain

The National Institute of Health describes the nerve cells that this chip uses electrical and chemical signals to transmit information in the brain to the body, while the US Food and Drug Administration granted the company a permit last year to conduct its first experiment to implant the chip in a human brain.

Musk indicated in another post on “X” that the chip will be called “Telepathy,” and Neuralink explained on its website that this chip enables people with quadriplegia to control devices with their thoughts.

Neuralink faces pressure to audit the safety of its technology

Neuralink has sparked a wave of calls for a comprehensive investigation into its safety protocols, according to a Reuters report published this month, as it was fined by the relevant authorities; Due to violation of US Department of Transportation rules for transporting hazardous materials.

Last June, the company's value was estimated at about $5 billion. However, at the end of last November, four lawmakers asked the US Securities and Exchange Commission to investigate the extent to which Elon Musk misled investors about the safety of the company's technology, and veterinary records revealed.
