موقع ArabiaWeather.com - نجحت مجموعة من علماء الفلك من الولايات المتحدة وإسبانيا وبريطانيا وإستونيا باكتشاف ور يضم أكبر عدد من المجرات. وأطلق العلماء على هذا السور الذي يشمل 830 مجرة اسم "السور العظيم BOSS" وأكدوا أن وزنه يتجاوز بـ10 آلاف ضعف على الأقل وزن مجرة "درب التبانة" التي نسكن فيها.
وأضاف العلماء أنهم اكتشفوا سورين من المجرات التي تشكل "السور العظيم BOSS"، أوسع بنية في الفضاء الكوني. وقدروا أن السور العظيم المكتشف من قبلهم بواسطة قاعدة البيانات الخاصة "BOSS" يبعد عن المنظومة الشمسية مسافة تتراوح ما بين 4.5 و6.4 مليار سنة ضوئية ويبلغ قطره 180 فرسخا فلكيا.
