Arab Weather - Computer simulations conducted by the Arab Weather Center and the latest satellite images indicate that the Kingdom is beginning to be affected by an extremely cold air mass with polar characteristics, rushing behind the second-degree low pressure system. This air mass will cause a sharp drop in temperatures, which will reach levels unusual for late March, God willing.

In detail, temperatures are expected to drop sharply tonight, dropping to unusually low levels for late March, approaching zero degrees Celsius in the high mountain peaks, while they will be around 3-4 degrees Celsius in the capital, Amman.

The weather will turn extremely cold in most areas and extremely cold over the high mountains, with varying degrees of partly cloudy to cloudy skies. Rainfall will intensify during the early night hours in the north and center of the Kingdom, accompanied by hail showers that may be heavy at times over the highlands.

Significant cooling of the various layers of the atmosphere coincides with opportunities for precipitation in the form of snow showers over the high mountain peaks.

Given the significant cooling expected tonight, early Friday morning, and throughout the various layers of the atmosphere, over time, there is a chance of snow showers falling on the high mountain peaks in the north, center, and south of the Kingdom, in addition to the peaks of the northeastern Badia.

Snow accumulation is also likely at times on the peaks of Qadisiyah and Rashadiyah in Tafilah Governorate, the peaks of Shobak and southern Taybeh, and the peaks surrounding Petra and Wadi Musa.
