Jordan | Launch of the Jordan National Trail 2024

<p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr">Arab Weather - October 11, 2024 - Under the patronage of Her Excellency Mrs. Lina Annab, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, the Jordan Trail Association is organizing the <strong>Jordan Trail Hike 2024</strong> event, which launched its seventh annual journey today, Friday, October 11, and will continue until November 23, 2022, for a period of 41 days, starting from Umm Qais in the north and reaching Aqaba in the south, covering a distance of 675 kilometers and passing through 75 villages, with the participation of adventurers and hiking tourism lovers from Jordan and different nationalities who will cover the entire trail or parts of it, in addition to weekend trips and daily trips.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> The Jordan Trail Association organizes this event annually with the aim of promoting the Jordan Trail and achieving financial returns that contribute to the sustainability, development and demarcation of the trail, in a way that serves the local communities in the villages through which the trail passes; giving participants the opportunity to interact with the people of those villages and learn about their culture and customs, in addition to enjoying the trail’s diverse terrain and the dozens of archaeological and historical sites through which it passes.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> The Jordan Trail Association organizes this event in strategic partnership with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, the Jordan Tourism Board, and the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority. It is supported by a number of private sector sponsors, including: Platinum Sponsor: JorAMCO, Gold Sponsor: Savito, Silver Sponsor: Abdali Orthopedic Group and Ayla Oasis Development Company, Telecom Sponsor: Zain Jordan, and Media Partners: Roya Sports, Hala Radio and Plus FM.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> It is worth noting that the Jordan National Trail has received royal attention, starting with <strong>His Majesty King Abdullah II and His Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Hussein bin Abdullah, may God protect and preserve them</strong> , who issued directives to develop and sustain the trail within a clear strategic plan, and His Majesty’s sponsorship of the economic modernization vision, which included “Jordan as a global destination” among the eight drivers of national economic growth. In appreciation of the success achieved by the Jordan Trail Association in a very short time, His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein, may God protect and preserve him, bestowed upon the association the King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein Order for Excellence, Second Class, for the year 2018, for the association’s advancement of the local and national economy, the Kingdom’s international reputation, and its provision of economic opportunities for the communities through which the trail passes. <strong>Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah</strong> also joined the participants in the Jordan Trail Hike for two consecutive years, 2017 and 2018. In addition, Her Majesty visited the trail on other occasions and instructed the support of a number of local service providers on the trail and provided them with the necessary needs to improve the level of service provided to tourists through grants provided by the Royal Hashemite Court.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> It is worth noting that the Jordan Trail Association provides, through its website, complete information about the trail and road maps, as a service to individuals and groups organizing trips who wish to rely on themselves in the trips they undertake or organize.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><h2 style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> <strong>About Jordan Trail Association</strong></h2><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> The Jordan Trail Association was established in 2015 as a non-governmental organization that aims to develop and sustain the Jordan Trail.
