Arab Weather - The Kingdom witnessed bitterly cold weather last night, recording the lowest temperatures in several months, reaching about 5 degrees Celsius below zero in some eastern regions and the Mafraq Governorate, according to the Jordanian Meteorological Department.
Weather experts at "Arab Weather" attributed this large and sharp drop in temperatures to the influence of the Siberian high-pressure system, while the cold and dry southeasterly winds played a role in significantly increasing the feeling of cold, as the body feels temperatures much lower than the actual measured temperatures, with the perceived temperatures in some southern and northern highlands and the eastern desert reaching between 5 and 10 degrees Celsius below zero.
