The most famous types are (Halawi), (Hammadi), (Lafani), (Mawardi), (Sharaabi), (Mawani), (Zaqlabi), and (Akkawi); which are local varieties. Pomegranate is considered one of the most beneficial fruits for the body, and it also works to resist cancer cells.

Jordanians have excelled in producing various forms and types of this blessed tree, which are: natural pomegranate juice, high-quality natural pomegranate molasses in the traditional way; natural pomegranate vinegar; natural pomegranate jam; pomegranate seed oil; natural pomegranate soap; natural pomegranate peel powder (to treat stomach problems and irritable bowel syndrome); pomegranate tea; and pomegranate nougat.
