Jordan: Active easterly winds blow over the Kingdom on Wednesday

Arabia Weather - The latest weather maps at the Arab Regional Weather Center indicate expectations that Jordan will be affected on Wednesday by an extension of a surface air ridge that will cause eastern winds to blow over the Kingdom, so that temperatures will be around their average for this time of year, except that the tangible/sensible temperatures will be lower.

The weather is expected to be relatively cold in general, with large amounts of clouds appearing at high altitudes, and the winds will be southeasterly and brisk, with strong gusts sometimes causing dust waves in some desert areas. It is also expected that the speed of the eastern winds will double when they blow on the areas of Al-Shifa Ghuriya and surrounding the Dead Sea.

The same winds are expected to lead to an increase in the feeling of coldness in several regions of the Kingdom, especially in the morning and night hours of Wednesday.

As for the night hours, the weather continues to be cold in many regions of the Kingdom, and the winds are southeasterly moderate to brisk and increase the feeling of coldness remarkably, and are sometimes accompanied by strong gusts in the northern regions.

Recommendations in conjunction with the eastern winds blowing over the Kingdom on Wednesday:

• Be aware of the danger of high wind speeds in the areas surrounding the Dead Sea.
• Be aware of high levels of dust and the occurrence of some dust waves in desert areas.
