Arab weather - from Monday, the eastern winds blow over the Kingdom, but they are moderate in speed, sometimes active over some areas during daylight hours, but from the late night hours of Monday / Tuesday night and on Tuesday, the winds become southeasterly moderate to active speed, accompanied by Powerful gifts over most regions of the Kingdom, and the gifts are more intense in the foothills of the high mountainous heights and the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea, where the speed of the gifts ranges from 60 to 80 km / h, and may exceed that in some mountainous heights, especially the southern, and the southeast wind works to raise dust and dust in Southern and Eastern regions.

Warning to farmers in the Jordan Valley from the effects of the southeast winds

In light of the southeast winds blowing over the Kingdom in the middle of the week, the Arab Weather website warns the farmers and owners of greenhouses in the Jordan Valley of the danger of the expected wind speed.

The reason is due to the doubling of the speed of the east and southeast winds over the Jordan Valley and Dead Sea areas, because the wind blows from the eastern side of the western front (a direction opposite to the natural wind behavior), as the eastern winds ascend towards the slopes of the western mountainous heights, and descend very quickly towards the Jordan Valley and Dead Sea areas due to These areas are lower than sea level, and the eastern winds are cold and dry, which makes them heavy in weight and thus double their intensity and speed when they descend from the slopes of the western mountains, where some peaks are more than 1700 meters high, towards the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea, which are more than -200 meters above sea level. .

It is also advised to avoid swimming in the Dead Sea during easterly winds, especially on Tuesday.
