Jordan: A gradual drop in temperatures is expected... The Red Sea depression will persist near the region until Monday.

The Arab Weather app indicates the return of the deepening Red Sea depression and the relatively hot air mass on Sunday and Monday. Therefore, temperatures will rise in all regions of the Kingdom to be about 7 degrees Celsius higher than average for this time of year, and the weather will be closer to summer (relatively hot during the afternoon and evening hours).

Maximum temperatures will be around 30 degrees Celsius in major cities, including the capital Amman, while they will exceed half of that in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and the city of Aqaba.

How long will the hot air persist near the Kingdom?

According to the Arab Weather app, initial indicators suggest a gradual and successive decrease in temperatures starting Tuesday, with the drop becoming more pronounced on Wednesday and Thursday. This is due to the gradual retreat of the relatively warm air mass and the approach of cooler air currents. The high temperature in Amman is expected to drop to the low twenties Celsius by the end of the week, with daytime temperatures becoming autumnal and nighttime temperatures relatively cool and humid, especially in the mountainous regions and eastern plains. This will bring the weather back to its usual autumnal pattern after a period of exceptional warmth.
