`Early Warning and Early Action` is the slogan of World Meteorological Day 2022

Weather of Arabia - Extreme weather, climate and water phenomena have become more severe and frequent all over the world due to climate change, and the number of people exposed to the dangers resulting from these phenomena is greater than ever.

Forecasting the weather is not enough today, but forecasts must be provided that alert people to the effects and dangers of extreme weather events in order to save lives and livelihoods. However, one out of every three people does not have sufficient coverage of early warning systems.

Therefore, it is necessary to increase coordination between meteorological and hydrological facilities and the authorities concerned with disaster management, and in improving prevention, preparedness, response and preparedness measures.

Disaster preparedness and the ability to take action at the right time and in the right place can save lives and protect the livelihoods of communities everywhere, now and in the future.
