The opposite phenomenon occurs at far southern latitudes, where the full moon remains exactly like the sun in June.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><h3 style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> <u><strong>The cold moon, “Full December,” is larger than usual and orange in color</strong></u></h3><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> When the moon rises, it appears large near the horizon, and may be orange in color.
