Arab Weather - The latest computer modeling results for simulating weather systems and forecasting rainfall indicate that several regions of the Kingdom will be affected by a number of weather phenomena, including rain and active winds that stir up dust and sand.

Areas covered by rain and dust forecast for Saturday 8/2/2025

Cumulus clouds will increase during the afternoon and evening hours over the extreme southwestern highlands of the Kingdom, including the highlands of Jazan, Asir, and Al-Baha. They are likely to extend, to a lesser extent, to the highlands of the Makkah region, especially Taif, with a chance of thunderstorms.

Thunderstorms will be more intense in the highlands of Jazan and Asir, accompanied by strong thunderstorms and heavy hail.

The dust season continues to affect the western coasts.

The western coasts are also expected to remain under the influence of active northwesterly winds with strong gusts, as part of what is known locally as the dust season. These winds cause large amounts of dust and dirt to be stirred up, leading to reduced horizontal visibility.

Hot weather in all regions of the Kingdom and moderate in the summer resorts

In the rest of the Kingdom, the weather will generally remain hot to extremely hot, while the weather will remain moderate and comfortable in summer resorts such as Taif, Abha, Al Baha, and the Jazan Mountains, where temperatures are relatively low and humidity is moderate, making them ideal for outdoor activities and excursions.
