Saudi Arabia: Thunderstorms include several regions, and the return of Al-Bawareh winds to the east over the weekend

Weather of Arabia - The latest weather maps indicate that it is expected that many regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will witness on Friday and Saturday 2 and 3 June 2023 air disturbances accompanied by opportunities for thunderstorms and activity in the downward winds that raise dust waves, and this coincides with the return of the activity of the Al-Bawareh winds to the region Eastern.

Areas covered by rain and dust over the weekend

It is expected, God willing, that the activity of cumulus clouds will renew in the afternoon and evening hours of Friday in the heights of eastern Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha and Makkah Al-Mukarramah and extend to some parts of Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah, and these clouds are accompanied by mostly medium rains, but they are interspersed with some heavy foci sometimes.

Some cumulus rain clouds extend to separate parts of the regions of Riyadh, Qassim, Hail and limited parts of the north of the Kingdom, and it is feared that dust waves may accompany thunderclouds.

The northwestern winds gradually activate during the day in the eastern region and work to stir up some dust and dirt.

Recommendations:

• Pay attention to the flow of valleys and reefs, in addition to the rise in water levels, especially on the southwestern heights.
• Pay attention to the high levels of dust in the atmosphere in the eastern region and its impact on patients with the respiratory system and eyes.
• Pay attention to the possibility of sudden dust waves forming in some areas, which come as a result of downward winds associated with thunderclouds.

As for Saturday, many of the western highlands of the Kingdom will be affected by cumulus rain clouds. This rain will be moderate in its entirety, but it will be interspersed with some heavy spots, which are accompanied by the fall of papyrus and the occurrence of thunder at times.

And some rain clouds extend to separate parts of the center and north of the Kingdom, but they have a narrow geographical scope in general.
