Saudi Arabia | Warnings of heavy rain, floods, and dust storms in nine regions today.

Arab Weather - The latest computer models monitoring weather patterns and rainfall patterns indicate that several regions in the Kingdom will witness severe weather fluctuations on Thursday, September 18, 2025, accompanied by heavy rains that may cause valleys to overflow, in addition to dust storms and a significant decrease in horizontal visibility.

In this regard, the National Center of Meteorology issued red warnings regarding the phenomena expected today, according to the following details:

Rain warnings:

Red alert for parts of Jazan:

• Heavy rain in Fifa, Al-Aridah, Al-Raith, Al-Harith, Al-Ays, and Harub.
• Moderate rain in Jazan, Farasan, Ad-Darb, Beesh, Abu Arish, Ahad Al-Masarihah, At-Tuwal, Samtah, and Sabya.
• Accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms until 10 pm.

Red alert for parts of Asir:

• Heavy rain in Abha, Ahad Rafidah, Khamis Mushayt, Rijal Almaa, Muhayil, Al Majardah, and Barq.
• Moderate rain in Namas, Balqarn, Tanuma, Al-Bark, and Al-Qahmah.
• Active winds and dust storms in Al Ammah, Al Arain, Bisha, Tathlith, and Tarib.
• The condition continues until 9 pm.

Yellow alert for parts of Makkah

• Al-Qunfudhah, Taif, Al-Ardiyat, Raniyah, Adham, Bani Yazid, Jadam, Yalamlam, Maysan
• Light to heavy rain with thunderstorms.
• Possibility of flash floods, especially in Maysan, until the evening hours.

Yellow alert for parts of Najran

• Badr Al Janoub: Moderate rain, thunderstorms and the possibility of flash floods.
• Sharurah, Najran, Habuna, Khabbash, Yadmah: Active winds and dust storms until 7 pm.

Yellow alert in Al Baha

Moderate rain in Al Bahah, Al Aqiq, Al Qura, Al Mandaq, Baljurashi, and Bani Hassan.

Light rain in Al Hujrah, Al Makhwah, Qalwah, and Qara'at Ghamid Al Znad until 8 pm.

Yellow alert for parts of Riyadh:

• Active winds and dust storms until 7 pm.

Yellow alert for parts of Sakaka:

• Dust-raising winds reduce visibility to 3-5 km.
• The condition lasts from 10 am to 6 pm.

Yellow alert for the northern border:

Active winds and dust storms from 9 AM to 6 PM.

Yellow alert for Hafar Al-Batin:

• Active winds and blowing dust will reduce visibility to 3-5 km from 9 am to 6 pm.
