Saudi Arabia | Remarkably cold nights in the north of the Kingdom over the weekend

Arab Weather - Sinan Khalaf - The latest computer modeling outputs indicate that the northern part of the Kingdom will be increasingly affected by an early cold wave, which will drop temperatures to unusual levels for this time of year, coinciding with the deepening of a cold upper basin towards the northern parts of the Kingdom, coming from southeastern Europe, coinciding with the rush of easterly winds that will increase the feeling of cold significantly.

Temperatures may drop below 10 degrees in the north of the Kingdom

Experts at the Arab Weather Regional Center expect that the northern parts of the Kingdom will record very low temperatures during the weekend nights, reaching around 10 degrees Celsius in Al-Jawf, Tabuk and the Northern Borders, and may be less than that on the outskirts of cities and open areas.

Cold wave hits northern parts of Riyadh region

The cold wave is expected to extend to include Hail, Qassim and the northern parts of Riyadh, with minimum temperatures in these areas ranging between 10-15 degrees Celsius, while in Riyadh they will drop to about 20 degrees Celsius, and may drop slightly below that in the desert areas north of Riyadh.
