Mohammed Al-Shaker, CEO of Arab Weather, said that the Kingdom is currently experiencing exceptional warmth during the month of November, which is a rare occurrence according to the climate records of the capital, Amman.

Al-Shaker explained that the climate archive for the past thirty years shows that most November months were characterized by moderate to cold weather, while temperatures in the thirties were recorded only in a limited number of years, and often for only one day followed by a noticeable drop in temperatures, which makes what we are currently experiencing an unusual situation.

Al-Shaker explained that this pattern of temporary warmth has been repeated in only seven seasons during the past three decades, with five of them ending with rainfall below average, while two seasons were around average, and four of those seasons witnessed snowfall and accumulation later on.

Al-Shaker pointed out that temperatures exceeding 30 degrees Celsius were recorded in a limited number of years, including 2023 when the temperature reached 30 degrees Celsius for one day and approached it for five days, and 2016 when it reached 31.3 degrees Celsius, as well as in the years 2013, 2012, 2010, 2007 and 2003 where the temperature ranged around 30 degrees Celsius for only one day.
