Iraq | Snow expected over the mountainous heights that rise 800 meters in the north on Sunday, and rare snow showers in western Iraq

Arab Weather - The Arab Regional Weather Center expected that Iraq will cross on Sunday a cold air front and the polar winds will flow behind it in the layers of the atmosphere in a way that allows snowfalls to occur. It is expected, God willing, that the dense and accumulated snow will fall over the northern mountainous heights that are more than 800 meters above the level of Sea level on Sunday.

It is also expected, by will, as a rare weather event, that areas in western Iraq will witness snowfall while crossing the cold air front.

Heavy snow on the western regions, including window roads

The weather forecast cadre at the Arab Weather Center indicated that the snow will be thick and accumulated on Sunday in the western regions, and it includes, including the western humid regions, such as Mahfoor al-Jundi, and also includes desert roads such as the Baghdad International Road, in addition to the Trebil border crossing, and the expected snow on the west is considered rare. This happens because these areas are not accustomed to receiving snowfalls.
