Salama said that all the standards for this season are excellent, and will have a positive impact on agriculture, irrigation, livestock breeders and various aspects of life, and therefore the next summer season will be better than the previous one.
Salameh explained that the amount of rainfall this season is excellent, reaching 81% in Karak, 70% in Zarqa, and 50% in Irbid during this period of the season, which has not happened for years.
He explained that rainwater harvesting in dams is excellent, as there are 156 dams with a storage capacity and capacity of up to 350 million cubic meters, in addition to 630 reservoirs and desert dams with a capacity of about 150 million cubic meters.
He pointed out that the springs that dried up may return this year to supply some areas with drinking water, agriculture and other needs.
Salameh explained that 50% of the dams' reserves are used for agriculture, while the Mujib Dam is used for drinking water, and the Kufranja and Wala Dams are used for groundwater recharge for drinking water. With this water reserve, it will have a positive impact on the supply of drinking water.
