95th Saudi National Day | Rain, Dust, and Hail Warnings for 10 Regions

The National Center of Meteorology issued a series of warnings on Tuesday for 10 regions across the Kingdom, predicting continued weather fluctuations accompanied by light to moderate rain, strong winds, and dust storms that will affect horizontal visibility. The Center also warned of hail, flash floods, and thunderstorms in a number of locations, coinciding with the 95th Saudi National Day.

Areas affected by rain and dust on Tuesday, September 23, 2025:

• Makkah: Moderate rain and strong winds in Taif, Al Kamil, and Madrakah, with near-zero visibility. Light rain will also be expected in the Holy Capital, Al Qunfudhah, Rabigh, Khulais, Turabah, and Al Kharmah.
• Madinah: Active winds and light rain will include the city, Wadi Al-Fara, Al-Mahd, and Al-Hanakiyah, with the possibility of thunderstorms.
• Riyadh: Light rain in Ad-Dawadmi and Afif, with active winds that may reduce visibility and the possibility of thunderstorms, from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.
• Qassim: Light rain and strong winds in Buraydah, Unaizah, Ar Rass, Riyadh Al Khabra, and Al Bukayriyah, with possible lightning.
• Hail: Light rain and strong winds in Al-Hayt, Ash-Shamli, Al-Ghazala, and Samira, with a chance of lightning.
• Najran: Dust storms and active winds in Badr Al Janoub, Yadmah, Habuna, Sharurah, Najran, and Thar, with reduced horizontal visibility of 3-5 kilometers.
• Jazan: Moderate rain in Al-Harith, Al-Aridah, and Al-Raith, light rain in Beesh, Sabya, and Ahad Al-Masarihah, and active winds in Farasan, reaching 49 km/h.
• Al Bahah: Moderate rain in Al Aqiq, Baljurashi, and Bani Hassan, with strong winds, hail, and flash floods.
• Asir: Moderate rain in Abha, Rijal Almaa, and Muhayil, strong winds and thunderstorms, and light rain in Al-Bark, Al-Qahmah, and Bisha.
• Eastern Region: Active winds causing dust storms in Al-Ahsa, Jubail, Dammam, and Khobar, with poor visibility and high waves.
