The break in the Al-Bawarih winds further southwards brings new areas into the dust circle on Sunday.

Arab Weather - Meteorologists at the Arab Weather Regional Center are monitoring the latest computer simulation maps indicating a further break in northwesterly winds toward the south on Sunday, raising the likelihood of new areas entering the dusty weather zone on Sunday.

Riyadh, Hafar Al-Batin and the Northern Borders are in the dust circle on Sunday.

In detail, it is expected that the southern parts of Iraq will be hit by hot, dry, active northerly to northwesterly winds, with occasional strong gusts. These winds will stir up a wave of dust and sand, pushing it southward to affect Rafha, Hafar Al-Batin, parts of Hail, Al-Qassim, and then the Riyadh region, including the capital.

These winds and the accompanying dust waves are expected to cause a significant reduction in horizontal visibility on highways and in cities, especially in Rafha and Hafar Al-Batin, and to a lesser extent in Hail, Al-Qassim, and the Riyadh region. Winds are expected to decrease in intensity during the early night hours in these areas, and God knows best.
