ArabiaWeather.com- In conjunction with the anniversary of the noble Prophet’s migration, we recall together the Cave of Hira , the landing site of revelation, which overlooks the eastern side of the holy city of Makkah Al-Mukarramah at a distance of about 4 kilometers. Its destiny was to be pivotal in the history of all mankind, as Jabal Al-Nour is located on A height of 634 meters, that cave in which the Messenger of God, Muhammad, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, was secluded, before the Qur’an was revealed to him by means of Gabriel, peace be upon him.

The Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, would stay away from Mecca and its people because they worship idols, and he would go to Jabal al-Nour and Hira Cave and stay there for long days, thinking about who created this world.

And on a day in the month of Ramadan, when the age of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, was 40 years old, God revealed to him the angel Gabriel, and he said to the Messenger: Read, and he answered him: “I am not a reader.” Gabriel repeated the question to him, and the Messenger answered every time with “what I'm a reader."

And the last time, Gabriel, peace be upon him, said: "Read in the name of your Lord who created. He created man from a clot. Read, and your Lord is the Most Generous. He who taught by the pen. He taught man what he did not know", so that these blessed verses are the first to be revealed from the Noble Qur’an to our master Muhammad Peace be upon him.

The Cave of Hira is a gap at the top of Jabal Al-Nour that Muslims now visit from all parts of the earth. Its door is directed towards the northern side, and only 4 or 5 people can sit in it because of its narrow area. Those who stand on top of Jabal Al-Nour can see the holy city of Makkah.
