Weather of Arabia - A fire broke out in the town of Bazal, Akkar, inside a land full of olive trees and dry herbs, and the fire spread rapidly due to the winds that hit the area.

As a result, a team from the "Darb Akkar" group, members of the Civil Defense and the youth of the area went to the place to work to put out the fire and control it despite the difficulties they face.

In a preliminary report issued by the "Darb Akkar" group on the Bazal fire that broke out due to an agricultural activity, the report indicated that the area affected by the fire amounted to approximately 60 hectares until sunset on 4-7-2021 and the fire is still continuing.

The fires caused severe damage to olive groves and fruit trees adjacent to dense forests of pine, oak and oak. In addition to severe damage to dozens of bees.

The Akkar Darb team explained that as soon as it received the report, it set out towards the fire that had erupted in more than 5 locations among the olive groves, then extended towards the neighboring forests, and headed north towards the towns of Habshit and Ain al-Dhahab, and westward towards the town of Sisouq.

Despite supplying the mechanism with water, the speed of the wind and the density of weeds and forests prevented the ability to quickly extinguish the fire, which was re-erupting with the gusts of wind. After 8 hours of continuous work, there were still two dangerous sites that the army helicopter was trying to deal with.
