وذكر رئيس غرفة العمليات بالمناطق الساحلية بمحافظة شبوة، العميد عوض محمد شبام، أن ارتفاع منسوب مياه البحر أكثر مما هو حاليًا، مشيرًا إلى أن انحدار مياه الفيضانات من الأودية قد يؤدي إلى كارثة إنسانية ﻻ يمكن التغلب عليها، فيما دعا الجهات كافة إلى التعاون مع فرق إخلاء السكان التي يُتوقع تعرضها لكارثة طبيعية من فيضانات وارتفاع للمياه الى مناطق أكثر أمنًا واستقرارًا.
