طقس العرب- تسبب انفجار بركان في جزيرة سترومبولي الإيطالية بوفاة سائح واحد على الأقل ،كما  جرى إجلاء السكان والسائحين في سترومبولي يوم الأربعاء بعد انفجارين قويين هزوا الجزيرة الصغيرة.

 

وتسبب ثوران البركان إلى اندلاع حرائق في الجانب الغربي من الجزيرة الصغيرة الواقعة بالبحر المتوسط شمالي صقلية. وتم استدعاء فرق إطفاء من أماكن قريبة وتساعد طائرة إطفاء في جهود إخماد الحرائق.

 

وكثيرا ما يتسلق السياح إلى قمة الجبل البركاني على ارتفاع 924 مترا من أجل النظر إلى الفوهة بينما ينفث البركان من حين لآخر دفعات صغيرة من الصخور الذائبة في السماء. ولم يتضح ما إذا كان هناك أحد عند الفوهة عندما ثار البركان، وفقًل لـ "رويترز" 

 

وبحسب موقع (جيولوجي.كوم) الإلكتروني فإن بركان سترومبولي من أنشط البراكين في العالم ويثور بشكل شبه مستمر منذ عام 1932.
