Arabian Sea: Will the first tropical cyclone form soon?

Arab Weather - We at the Arab Weather Center are receiving many inquiries regarding whether there are indications of tropical conditions forming in the Arabian Sea in the coming period.

Are there any signs of a tropical cyclone forming in the Arabian Sea?

According to the latest weather forecasts, the center's specialists say the Arabian Sea is not expected to witness any tropical system formation for at least the next 10 days. However, the chances of tropical systems forming in the Arabian Sea are increasing, God willing, by next month (October 2025), according to computer modeling for long-term forecasts.

Experts at the Arab Weather Center have confirmed that the Arabian Sea is a favorable environment for the development of tropical disturbances, should they form in the coming period. This is due to the warming of the sea surface and the abundance of water vapor. It also appears that the first tropical system to form in the northern Indian Ocean this season will, God willing, be in the Bay of Bengal, due to the passage of a Rossby wave through those regions.
