This earthquake resulted in the death of about 2,946 people and the injury of 5,674 others, in addition to the destruction of nearly 50,000 homes. It affected the lives of the population and the country's infrastructure, and in recent days a huge hole appeared in one of the regions of Morocco, arousing curiosity and interest from scientists and researchers around the world.

A huge hole suddenly appeared on the outskirts of the El Jadida province in western Morocco, raising concerns and questions among residents after the devastating earthquake that shook the kingdom last September. Video clips circulated on social media platforms in Morocco showed this hole, which is 60 meters deep and 20 meters in diameter. It is located on agricultural land in one of the towns of the El Jadida region.

To ensure the safety of residents, the local authorities surrounded the hole with a rope. However, the Moroccan authorities have not issued an official statement about the reasons for the appearance of this hole until now.
