Update: Schools in Aqaba suspended on Sunday... Education directorates postpone it

Aqaba Governor Ayman Al-Awaisha has decided to suspend schools in the Aqaba Governorate for tomorrow, Sunday, as a precautionary measure in light of the continued impact of the prevailing weather conditions in the governorate.

Al-Awaisha said that this decision came in coordination with the Directorate of Education of Aqaba Governorate and the concerned authorities, in order to ensure the safety of students, teaching and administrative staff, and within the preventive approach that the governorate follows in dealing with emergency weather conditions.

He called on citizens to be cautious and vigilant, to adhere to the guidelines issued by official authorities, and to avoid gathering in places where water collects and flood channels.

The Petra Education Directorate announced that school hours will be delayed until 9:00 AM tomorrow, Sunday, due to the weather conditions affecting the Kingdom.
