Arab Weather - The Kingdom was affected, thanks be to God, by a third-degree (moderate-high effectiveness) low-pressure system, from Thursday morning until Friday evening, January 1-2, 2026, as the low-pressure system brought good to excellent amounts of rain to several regions of the Kingdom.

Rainfall was more concentrated in the north and center of the Kingdom, while the rains extended to varying degrees to the rest of the regions, which contributed to strengthening the current rainy season and giving it an additional boost, which is reflected positively on its overall performance, thanks be to God.

It should be noted that every 1 mm of rain is equivalent to one liter of water per square meter of the Earth's surface, which illustrates the positive impact of these quantities on water reserves, soil, and groundwater.

The following are the rainfall amounts recorded in the Kingdom according to the monitoring stations of Arab Weather and the Jordanian Meteorological Department:

Irbid : 35–55 mm
Ajloun : 47–65 mm
Jerash : 18–28 mm
Blue : 13–20 mm
Salt : 49–60 mm
West Amman : 40–50 mm
East Amman: 16–20 mm
South Amman : 40–45 mm
Karak : 20–35 mm
Tafilah : 15–25 mm
Rainfall : 0.0 mm (no precipitation)
Aqaba : 0.0 mm (no rainfall)

Praise be to God for the blessing of rain.
