And specialists in the field of meteorology at the center indicated that a highly turbulent air system will be affected by these areas on Saturday, as a result of an upper wave crossing the Kingdom’s airspace, coinciding with the flow of water vapor with tropical characteristics from the Arabian Sea, and a surface response from the Red Sea thermal depression, which results in The emergence of a strong state of atmospheric instability.

It is expected that "highly effective" cumulonimbus clouds will multiply and that moderate and heavy rain will fall, sometimes with severe thunderstorms, and showers of hail that are not excluded to be dense and accumulated in some areas.

Strong downward winds are expected

The weather forecast staff at the Arab Regional Weather Center warned of sand storms and dust waves that may be caused by the downward winds associated with cumulonimbus thunderstorms in parts of Hail and Al-Qassim, warning of the risk of low horizontal visibility and perhaps its absence at some periods, depending on the strength of the clouds.

The forecast staff is alerted during the expected rainy situation from:

• Danger of severe thunderstorms and lightning
• The intensity of the downward winds associated with thunderclouds
• The intensity of cold showers that may be accumulating at times
