موقع ArabiaWeather.com – تساقطت الثلوج على جبال الالب في إيطاليا والنمسا يوم الثلاثاء والأربعاء 22 و23 أيلول وقد انخفضت درجات الحرارة الى ثلاثة درجات تحت الصفر في بعض المناطق.
تأتي تلك الثلوج على إثر تشكل منخفض جوي مصحوبا بتيارات هوائية باردة ورطبة من الشمال والشمال الغربي أدت الى انخفاض درجات الحرارة وتساقط الثلوج في الجبال في كلا من إيطاليا والنمسا وبلغ أكبر تراكم للثلوج قرابة 50سم في أعالي جبال الالب الحدودية بين إيطاليا والنمسا.
وتقع جبال الالب في أوروبا وتمتد سلسلة جبالها ما بين النمسا وسلوفينيا وفرنسا وإيطاليا وسويسرا وألمانيا، وكلمة الألب تعني الأبيض باللغة اللاتينية وذلك لأن الثلوج تكسو قممها في فصل الشتاء، كما تبلغ أعلى قمة في سلسلة جبال الألب 4810 متر وهي قمة مونت بلانك وتقع على الحدود الفرنسية الإيطالية.
