Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques directs to extend Eid al-Fitr holiday for 15 days

Weather of Arabia - The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia decided to offer Eid al-Fitr vacation for school and university students, to start on Ramadan 20, corresponding to April 21, instead of Monday, Ramadan 24, corresponding to 25, as was previously scheduled.

According to the Saudi Press Agency "SPA", the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, directed to amend the start of the leave for all male and female students; To be starting from the end of the working day on Thursday 20/9/1443 AH according to the Umm Al-Qura calendar, corresponding to 21/4/2022 AD, it also includes male and female teachers.

This comes in the interest of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to facilitate the provision of his sons and daughters, male and female students in the Kingdom, according to the agency.

Thus, the Eid al-Fitr holiday begins in Saudi Arabia, on the 20th of Ramadan, provided that male and female students return to complete their studies, starting from Sunday, the seventh of next Shawwal, and thus extending the vacation up to 15 days.

The third semester in Saudi Arabia includes 3 extended school vacations, the first is the Eid al-Fitr vacation, and the second vacation begins at the end of (Tuesday) corresponding to 23 Shawwal, and lasts for 4 consecutive days.

The third extended school vacation begins at the end of the day on Tuesday, 15th of Dhu al-Qi’dah, and will continue for 4 consecutive days, and is the last extended vacation during the current school year.
