Following the Sunnah of our Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, to perform the Istisqa prayer, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, called for performing the Istisqa prayer throughout the Kingdom on the 26th of Jumada al-Awwal 1446 AH according to the Umm al-Qura calendar.

He asked everyone to increase their repentance, seeking forgiveness, and returning to God Almighty, to be kind to His servants, and to increase their voluntary acts of worship, such as charity, prayers, and remembrances, and to make things easy for God’s servants and relieve their distress. He said:

Everyone who is able should be keen to perform the prayer, in accordance with the Sunnah of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and to show his need for God Almighty, while being persistent in supplication, for God loves for His servants to increase their supplication and be persistent in it.
