A study reveals an important factor that contributed to the increasing number of deaths from the Corona virus in Jordan

Arab Weather - In a study conducted in cooperation with Arab Weather conducted by researcher Jawad Abbasi on the relationship of lower and upper temperatures with the increasing number of deaths resulting from the Corona virus in Jordan, the study concluded important results for the impact of an important factor that contributed to the high number of deaths resulting from the Corona virus in Jordan and perhaps the world.

The data included in the study

The study, which was published yesterday (June 1), under the title " Towards a safe summer, autumn, winter and spring: Have we paid attention to the most important factor? " includes data on the minimum and maximum temperatures for the city of Amman provided by Arab Weather for the period from October 1, 2020 to mid-May 2021. And data From the Jordanian Ministry of Health for the weekly number of coronavirus (Covid-19 ) deaths for every Thursday starting from October 1, 2020, the data in the following two graphs.

Reason for studying

In March 2021, the World Health Organization issued a publication entitled "A roadmap towards improving and ensuring good indoor ventilation in the context of Covid 19" in which it confirmed the scientific evidence that the risk of transmission in crowded and improperly ventilated indoor spaces is much higher than in outdoor spaces.

The new WHO report breaks down proposals for ensuring good ventilation in three cases: hospitals, clinics, non-residential commercial spaces and residential settings. The World Health Organization document specifies the minimum change of all indoor air (6) times per hour as a minimum. The document lays out methods for ensuring this, which range from simple matters such as opening doors and windows to technical and mechanical solutions to ensure good ventilation.

And because most of the techniques used in heating and air conditioning in Jordan do not include ensuring good ventilation or introducing fresh air on a regular basis, the researcher Jawad Abbasi studied the hypothesis of linking the level of mortality of the Corona virus (Covid-19) in Jordan with the expectation of a higher spread of infection in conditions that include lack of ventilation In the interior .

To this end, I obtained the minimum and highest temperatures for the city of Amman from Mr. Muhammad Al-Shaker in Arab weather from October 1, 2020 to mid-May 2021. I also - with the help of Mrs. Rola Jabr - compiled the weekly Covid-19 deaths for every Thursday starting from October 1, 2020 from the official data Ministry of Health.
