Local thunderstorms are affecting some areas of northern Levant today.
Arab Weather - The latest outputs of weather models indicate renewed chances of the formation of cumulonimbus clouds during the afternoon hours in parts of northern Syria, as a result of the availability of moisture in the different layers of the atmosphere in conjunction with daytime heating.
Thunderclouds are expected to develop during the afternoon and evening hours over areas in the north of the country, and may be accompanied by showers of thundery rain and temporary downdrafts that may cause dust storms in some areas.
This weather event is local in nature and limited in scope, but it may lead to rapid changes in weather conditions within the affected areas, especially with thunderstorm activity during the afternoon and evening hours.
In the rest of the Levant, the weather remains generally stable with clouds appearing at different altitudes, amid typical summer weather during the daytime and mild to cool weather during the nighttime.
And God knows best.
