Arab Weather - The latest output of computer simulation systems in Arab weather indicates that large parts of the northwest and west of the Kingdom will continue to be affected by unstable weather conditions accompanied by thunderstorms and possibly downward winds and hail, until Monday, God willing, and the following are the details:

New areas fall within the cycle of precipitation and intensification of rain in Jeddah

In the details, the range of rain is expected to expand on Sunday to better include rainy thunder clouds in Makkah and its coasts, including the city of Jeddah, in addition to random and limited parts of Hail, Al-Jawf, the northern border and Qassim, with continued thunderstorms in the regions of Tabuk and Madinah, where it is expected that the number of thunderstorms will increase. Cumulonimbus clouds over the aforementioned areas, and heavy rain at intervals accompanied by lightning and thunder and perhaps hail showers, with a relatively high chance of torrential rains forming in some areas, especially on mountain slopes.

It is expected that the intensity and extent of rainfall will decrease on Monday to become in narrow geographic ranges, as well as focus on the southwestern sector, reaching parts of the Makkah region and may include the city of Jeddah for short periods. It may extend during the late night hours of Monday and Tuesday to include parts of the north of the Eastern Province, areas of Hafar Al-Batin and its environs.

These weather disturbances are due to the approach of an air depression in the high layers of the atmosphere across Egypt and the eastern Mediterranean, in conjunction with the rush of humid and warm semi-tropical currents from the southwest, and the displacement of the semi-tropical air high from the atmospheres of the north and west of the Arabian Peninsula, which means an effective and strong response to the Red Sea depression.

A drop in temperatures during the second half of the week in many areas

It is expected that temperatures will drop remarkably in parts of the eastern, central and northern regions of the Kingdom during the second half of the week. Significant at night, which means that there is a large temperature difference between night and day, and the predominance of cold weather in the hours of the night and early morning, thus increasing the chances of developing cold diseases.
