Arab Weather - After the recording of the maximum temperatures for Tuesday 27-9-2022 was completed, the city of Jeddah occupied, for the second day in a row, the highest maximum temperature on the face of the globe for this day, which was recorded by 45.1 degrees Celsius, exceeding all regions of the world. The specialists in the "Arab Weather" center said that this temperature is more than 8 degrees Celsius above its usual rates for the end of September.

There are several reasons behind the city of Jeddah recording temperatures in the mid-forties despite the advent of autumn in the northern hemisphere, the most important of which are:

• Dry and hot "eastern" saba winds: When a less hot air mass dominates northern and central Saudi Arabia, it is accompanied by a shallow air rise, and due to the high density of the less hot air, it rushes west towards the Hijaz Mountains, and rushes strongly towards the coastal areas and raises their surface temperature.

• The phenomenon of foehn wind is simply the falling of winds from the tops of high mountains towards the slopes and low valleys, where rapid heating of the air occurs due to this movement of air, as the eastern winds blow from the mountains of Makkah (a mountainous region) to the coastal areas of Makkah (Jeddah Governorate). Cause a high temperature.
