The 8Log from Umniah honors the winners of the writing competition for Jordanian university students

Arab Weather - The 8Log blog from Umniah honored the winners of the third writing competition in Arabic for Jordanian university students, in a ceremony held at the headquarters of the Umniah Entrepreneurship Incubator The Tank.

After the jury’s evaluation, it was announced that Omar Rahwanji from Princess Sumaya University for Technology won first place with an article titled “Has the Development of Mobile Devices Reached the Threshold of the End?” And second place was announced by Moayad Al-Shara’a from Al al-Bayt University with an article titled “The Female Character in the Novel.” Sufism,” while Ahmed Al-Dajjah from Irbid Private University came in third place with an article entitled “Sports is my way to discover the world.”

The essays of the students who participated in the competition from 9 Jordanian universities were evaluated by the jury consisting of; Ibrahim Khreisat, editor-in-chief of the Arabic hashtag website and a member of the Jordan Journalists Syndicate, Yazan Nofal, expert in the field of technology and e-marketing, co-founder and head of e-marketing at NUR Interactive, Nisreen Al-Rawashdeh, program manager at Edrak, and Batoul Arnaout, Public Relations and Media Officer At Umniah, where this committee selected in the semi-final stage 5 articles to qualify for the final competition, while 10 students were nominated to attend a workshop with the “Anwan” platform, one of the companies affiliated with the Umniah incubator for entrepreneurship, The Tank.

As for the criteria that the jury relied on to select the winning articles, they included; Use concise and clear language, write in a simple and uncomplicated style, present new and interesting information, the article should not exceed 500 words, the content should be compatible with search engines (SEO), and the article should fall into specific categories: Technology, cyber security, entertainment, health, sports, travel, art and culture, career advice, as well as entrepreneurship.

CEO of Umniah Ziad Shatara stressed on this occasion the importance of The 8Log in spreading Arabic content on the Internet and the distinguished role it has played over the past three years to achieve the goals and objectives for which it was established, pointing to the efforts made in this regard, especially since The 8Log is The first of its kind in the Jordanian telecommunications sector.
