A breathtaking celestial scene appears in the skies of Jordan.

Arab Weather - An astronomical team in eastern Jordan - the Ashqaf (Bortle 2) region - captured an amazing scene of cosmic clouds in the Cepheus constellation, where a distinctive image was captured showing two of the most famous nebulae in this constellation:

The Iris Nebula (NGC 7023): A reflection nebula glowing from a central star, about 1,300 light-years away.

Shark Nebula (LDN 1235): A dark nebula that appears as a brown cloud resembling a shark, located about 650 light-years from Earth.

Data was collected over a period of 4 hours and 50 minutes using 290 images, using advanced astronomical imaging equipment including:

Camera: Canon 60D modified for astrophotography (ISO 1600)

Holder/Tracker: Sky-Watcher Star Adventurer 2i

Lens: Rokinon 135mm F2/2.8

The images were processed using DSS and PixInsight software to reveal the fine details of this unique celestial scene, which reflects the beauty of distant cosmic nebulae and adds a new page to the record of amateur astronomical observation in Jordan.
