Ma'an, Aqaba and several areas of the Badia receive the first rainfall of the season (find out the latest updates on rainfall amounts)

Arab Weather - Ma'an and Aqaba governorates witnessed yesterday, Sunday, the first rainfall of this season, as a result of the Kingdom being affected by a state of atmospheric instability, which was initially concentrated in the south of the Kingdom and included various regions of the south of the Kingdom and the desert, including regions that have not witnessed rainfall since the beginning of the rainy season, such as Ma'an and Aqaba governorates.

The unstable rains that began in the afternoon hours of yesterday, Sunday, also included different regions of the Kingdom, including parts of the north and center of the Kingdom, in addition to the eastern regions. According to remote sensing systems, rainfall ranging between 1-15 mm fell in the desert areas last night.

This is due to the continued influence of the Levant countries, including the Kingdom, by secondary weather conditions (in the form of cases of atmospheric instability) that cause rainfall in random areas of the Kingdom, and this does not prevent it from being heavy for short periods.

During the rest of this day, it is expected that the eastern and southern Badia regions will remain under the influence of the state of atmospheric instability, such that the opportunity remains available for showers of rain, God willing, in those areas, accompanied by thunder and hail showers, with the continued recommendation to be aware of the risks of floods and torrents carried in the Badia regions.
