The weather system causes high-pressure systems to dominate over the North Pole, causing the polar jet stream to refract and undulate, allowing polar waves to flow toward Europe and North America.

Arab Weather experts reported that as these cold polar waves flow into the Atlantic Ocean, the cold air interacts with the temperature of the water bodies, causing continued weather disturbances that sometimes reach the level of storms, particularly in the eastern states of North America. Snowfall continues in many regions, particularly in Canada, the eastern United States, and southern Greenland.

Cold fronts extend to Europe, bringing heavy rains and floods with snow falling over the mountains.

According to computer outputs, the jet stream's undulation is not limited to northern Europe and Atlantic storms, but is also leading to the expansion of cold upper troughs toward southern Europe, bringing with it very heavy rainfall and strong winds. The likelihood of severe thunderstorms, which may be accompanied by large and damaging hail, is also increasing in some areas. The storms' impacts are concentrated in Italy and neighboring countries, including the Balkans.

Meanwhile, northern and central Europe, including the Balkan countries and as far away as Turkey, will be affected in the coming days by the infiltration of polar winds, causing severe weather disturbances and heavy to very heavy rainfall, with an increased risk of flash floods.
